Cons: He talks slow, especially if he's hoping for some class participation, so for the dryer chapters it's hard to focus.
The homeworks are the best test prep - do the homework again before the exam and you'll be prepared. Also, most questions involve graphing a change, so make sure the graph makes sense to you, not just the concept. The first half of the test is always T/F and the last half is mult. choice/graphing. He posts the tests and answers up for study guides before the final. Colson is a good teacher and a good advisor - I'd recommend this class and this teacher to anybody.
Easy class
doesn't take attendance
Cons: homeworks are weighted too much
Cons: You have homework at least every week but usually a couple times a week that is kind of annoying. But he's a reasonable guy and is just trying to help you learn.
If you do the homeworks and go over them before the tests you are smooth sailing toward an A. I wouldn't suggest skipping class because the material is not easy but he explains things very well. I definitely recommend this class.
Class sturcture is very good
He cares about the subject and I am excited to go to his class.
No applia online homework like in other classes.
Cons: Workload is consistent but can occasionally catch up to you.
He is the best teacher I've had in college. He cracks jokes and really wants you to learn the subject. He even has days where the whole class does an activity just so he can make sure everyone understands the concept. He also signed my tutoring papers so I can tutor this class though Millege. I love this man.
Cons: He grades every homework, and does not accept late homework. The material can be a little dry especially towards the last section on monopolies but he tries to help you understand it.
All in all I thoroughly enjoyed the class. It ended up being my favorite one this semester.
Cons: its microecon
best teacher i have had in college
book helped with material
test format
Cons: none
Cons: does in class experiments about material he hasn't taught, so it's kind of hard to understand initially.
Greg is an awesome teacher. He really helps if you need it, and his explanations are current, funny, and make the learning even easier.
Cons: Don't need to come to class for his "in class experiments" if you come to class at all. The experiments are pretty pointless.
I would definitely recommend Colson!
Cons: Final is cumulative, tests vary somewhat from homework
give extra credit
homeworks are pretty much the tests
minimum studying required
i studied the night before by reading over the homeworks and got an A
I never opened my book but some said it was helpful
Cons: homework about once a week
posts notes online so not necessary to go to class but you will get bonus points if you do attend class so it would be dumb not to
is very reasonable and really cares about your success in his class. he brought donuts for the whole class once. in class "experiments"
Cons: can get pretty boring
he's a really nice guy and will go out of his way to help you.
Looks for class feedback
Cons: Can be longwinded
Has homeworks every week, from which the exam is modeled. Also, there are extra credit quizzes before each midterm to raise the final average up by at most one point per quiz.
